After the tough battle of the Asian Para Games 2018, they are finally home. They were greeted and applauded by the Filipino people as they arrive at the airport.

Congratulations Team Philippines Paragames athletes for the gift of 10 GOLD | 8 SILVER | 11 BRONZE. You made us proud to be FILIPINO! #pinoyako The Philippines finishes in 69th place out of 206 countries.

 

Ernie Gawilan 

Congratulations to Ernie Gawilan and @SportsEmpower Alumna Adz Dumapong for medaling in swimming and powerlifting at the @asianpg2018, and to the entire Philippine Paralympic team for winning 29 medals.

The most bemedalled para-athlete, Ernie Gawilan, received a warm welcome upon arrival at NAIA3. Gawilan won 3 golds, 2 silver medals in swimming in the 2018 Asian Para Games in Indonesia.

International weightlifting phenom: Hidilyn Diaz

Nangunguna sa buong mundo si Pinay weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz sa women’s 53-kg category, ayon sa listahan ng International Weightlifting Federation. Ito ang unang beses na nanguna si Diaz sa taunang listahan.

Our very own @diaz_hidilyn is #1 in the annual world ranking list of the International Weightlifting Federation in the women’s 53 kilogram category.

Hidilyn Diaz received a cash incentive of PhP100,000 from Go For Gold and the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office. Congratulations, Hidilyn! NO.1 RANK!

Hidilyn said on her Twitter account, “May tanong ako sa inyo. Ano ang pangarap niyo? Ano ang kaya niyo ibigay para sa pangarap niyo?” This translates to: “I have a question with you. What’s your dream? What can you give for your dream?” Follow your dreams Pinoys!

Youth Olympic Games – Christian To

Fil-Norwegian Christian Tio wins a silver in the Men’s Kiteboarding event after heading into the final race at 4th place in the overall fleet; and after two months of training and acclimatizing in a different country. This is the first medal from the Philippines in the #YouthOlympicGames
