Filipino heritage night held in Oakland, California

By Daniella Flanagan

A FILIPINO Heritage Night was held recently in Oakland, California to celebrate and promote Filipino American art, music, film and dance.

Also dubbed The Filipino American Arts Exposition (FAAE), the event took place last August 31 at the spacious Championship Plaza. All participants who purchased a special ticket were also able to attend a pregame event, as well as enjoy a traditional food item and receive an exclusive A’s Filipino Heritage giveaway item.

The Filipino American Arts Exposition (FAAE) is a vital part of the rich tapestry of cultures and ethnic communities of the San Francisco Bay Area through its promotion of Filipino American art, music, film and dance, said Oakland Assemblymember Rob Bonta.
