QUEZON City Mayor Herbert Bautista has turned over to the 142 barangays their real property tax share for the second quarter of 2018 amounting to PhP130.7 million.
The distribution of real property tax share was organized by the Barangay Operations Center and Community Relations Department (BCRD) in coordination with the City Treasurer’s Office (CTO).
According to Bautista, the city’s 1st District got a total of P7.3 million while, the 2nd District got PhP9.2 million, PhP17.8 million went to the 3rd District while, PhP27.5 million went to District IV, District V got PhP32.6 million, and PhP36.3 million went to District VI.
Among the barangays with the highest share are: Socorro with a share of PhP937,216.32, Bagumbayan with PhP755,194.11, South Triangle with PhP709,502.74, Pinyahan with PhP664,259.48, Tandang Sora with PhP657,623.19, Matandang Balara with PhP654,718.89, Kaligayahan with PhP631,486.18, Loyola Heights with PhP612,310.25, Batasan Hills with PhP608,122.98, and Kaunlaran with PhP564,451.83, Bautista said.
The city government expects barangay officials to allocate their shares to livelihood, education, infrastructure, health and social services, among others.
