THE Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency will deploy more agents nationwide to boost the national anti-drug campaign.
In a statement, PDEA Director General Aaron Aquino said 215 new Drug Enforcement Officers (DEOs) will be fielded to operational services and regional offices. He added that specifically, they will be sent to PDEA Special Enforcement Service (SES), Intelligence and Investigation Service (IIS), Compliance Service (CS), and Regional Offices to monitor the seaports and airports and will be involved in the detection of smuggled illegal drugs.
The new agents graduated on June 14, 2018 after six months of rigorous training at the PDEA Academy and conferred the badges as new members of the country’s premier anti-drug agency.
“The new agents are now ready to apply the knowledge and skills in carrying out their duties and responsibilities competently, professionally and with the highest ethical standard in fulfillment of the agency’s vision and mission,” Aquino said.
