A CEBU Pacific Air flight from Dubai en route to Manila was diverted to India after one of its passengers became ill, the airline said on Sunday.
In a statement, the airline management said flight 5J015 landed safely at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad, India at 10:30 a.m. Manila time (or 6:30 a.m. Dubai time) where the unidentified sick passenger was offloaded and brought to a medical facility.
Furthermore, the CEB management said it is “coordinating with relevant authorities to ensure that immediate medical assistance is being provided for the passenger at a hospital in Hyderabad.”
“Our Customer Care team is also in direct contact with the passenger’s family, to provide any assistance they may need at this time,” the CEB management added.
Flight 5J015 arrive in Manila shortly after 7:00 pm. Sunday after it departed Hyderabad at about 1:06 p.m. Manila time.
On July 2 this year, a technical glitch forced the same flight 5J015 to perform an emergency landing at the Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai, India.
Also on the same month, that same CEB Manila-bound flight from Dubai was diverted to India because of the disruptive behavior of a Filipino passenger. The passenger, who was reportedly mentally disable, announced that there was a “bomb” on the plane but bomb experts found nothing.
