pdea logoPHILIPPINE Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and local police operatives in La Union province seized 105 kilos of dried marijuana leaves from a suspected drug dealer operating in northern Philippines.

PDEA Director General and Undersecretary Arturo G. Cacdac, Jr., in statement issued by his office, identified the alleged drug dealer as 32 year old Noelezar Molina, of Maricaban, Pasay City. He was apprehended last Feb. 9 following intensive surveillance.

Cacdac said the total value of the seized contraband from Molina amounts to around P450,000 (US$9,700.00). He said Molina had just picked up the contraband from a drug dealer in barangay in Santol and on his way to Manila when arrested.

A case for violation of Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, is set to be filed against the suspect.
